Hamilton has some great opportunities to watch somebody ELSE sweat it out, with some top-level competitive athletes.
Baseball
In the Kitchener-Waterloo area there are two teams in the Intercounty Baseball League:

Lucas Oil Flamboro Speedway was established in 1961 making it one of Canada's longest running stock car tracks.
It has one of the largest seating capacities in Ontario, with grandstands positioned on the north straightaway, shielded by a safety wall and fence,
and provide fans with an unobstructed view of all the racing action.

The Steel City Ironman is junior Football Club that play in central Ontario. They provide the opportunity for area football players 19 and under to develop their skill, with an objective of advancement to University or College. The Ironmans play their home games at Ivor Wynn Stadium.

Set on 220 acres Flamboro Downs has been holding races since 1975. Live evening racing and dining is available in The Top O' The Turn Dining Room with its spectacular, panoramic view of Canada’s fastest half-mile track.
Races are held five days a week every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday at 4 P.M. and every Sunday starting at either 4 P.M. or 6 P.M.

The Hamilton Thunder Soccer Club is a member of the Canadian Professional Soccer League (CPSL). The club has been in existence since 2001, with the first competitive game being played in 2002. In 2004 the Thunder retained its title as Western Division Champions for the second consecutive year.
